Dieser einsame, oft eigenbrötlerische, schwierige Mann wird dem Leser mit seinen tiefen Gefühlen, seiner oft selbstkasteienden Religiosität wie auch mit seinen Hoffnungen, Wünschen, aber auch peinigenden Zweifeln nahegebracht.
